A maquette is a small model or a study in three dimensions for either a sculptural or an architectural project. Constructing a maquette involves consideration and understanding of the subject and accurate translation of that subject into 3 dimensions. The Maquette Team Anita Ettinger and Donna McDonald, possess a unique combination of design knowledge and business experience. Their 30+ years of design experience ranges from classic to modern styles. Anita prefers modern looks and is known for her bold, blending of materials, styles and color to create visually exciting interiors. Donna’s taste runs towards a blend of timeless styles and tranquil palettes. Donna is keenly interested in the environment and applies her knowledge of Green design when requested. The Maquette team taps these complementary aesthetic tastes to understand their clients and generate a spectrum of creative ideas and solutions. Design Meets Business Anita has run her own design firm the past 28 years and has honed her intuitive and execution skills. The result is a rapid understanding of a client’s style and access to a broad array of reliable sources for efficient implementation. Donna has been formally practicing interior design since 2004. Previously, she spent 20 years in marketing roles within large companies and startups and has an MBA from Columbia University. Donna applies her business skills at Maquette to help the team understand client needs and grasp brand image as well reducing design timelines and costs through efficient client, project and budget management. The Maquette team views interior design as their way of helping people and companies express their image and create environments that delight for years to come. |
